General information

The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is a coeducational international British curriculum school for ages 3-18 years.

The British School of Bahrain is committed to providing a high quality, affordable international education that represents excellent value for money. We are a selective, coeducational, independent Kindergarten-through-Year 13 school. Our curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum, with some adaptations to the local context, but we are a truly international school as our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We welcome all nationalities!
As an international school located in Bahrain, we value and celebrate the rich diversity of the many nationalities, religions, cultures and traditions of all our students and we aim to provide a safe, inclusive and caring environment in which young people can learn to live and work together in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect. Each student is encouraged to play an active role in school life, both in and out of the classroom.
Our move to a splendid new building in September 2009 brought all three parts of the school together on one site so that we could finally be one school. That we are one school and not three separate schools is an important and valued part of our school ethos. It is also the strong basis underpinning our school community and spirit.
To better serve our students' learning needs and personal development, we aim to continuously improve the quality of our facilities and the educational programmes we offer. We are proud of our school and of the achievements of the members of our school community but we are not complacent. We welcome constructive feedback on how we're doing because it helps us to grow and improve.
We encourage open, two-way communications between home and school and are fortunate to have a very supportive and interested parent body. The Friends of the BSB is a voluntary group of parents who work hard to raise money to enhance the facilities we offer to our students. They also provide a network of support to our families through their programmes like Class Links.
