苏州市中西医结合医院、苏州木渎人民医院始建于1958年。2009年9月通过省卫生厅二级甲等医院评审。是一所集医疗、教育、科研、预防 保健、社区卫生服务为一体的综合性医院。医院是江苏省卫生厅认定的住院医师规范化培训基地，同时也是南京中医药大学、苏州市卫生职业技术学院、盐城市卫生职业技术学院等院校的教育实习基地,多年来一直承担着高等医学院校的实习带教任务。
