General information

The programming / coding education for young people has become a very hot topic around the world. Estonia started to teach coding to kids as young as 5 while the UK government is the first country in the world to have enacted laws stipulating teaching coding to students between the age goup 5-17 effective September 2014. Kids coding has become a new movement in many countries around the world.

In an era of outcome – based education system, students shall benefit a lot from kids coding learning in terms of enhanced logical thinking, problem solving, creativity, will power, discipline, etc, to name a few.

A word from our Founder & President, John Huen:

I have founded the Hong Kong Society for Promoting Kids’ Coding last summer to promote kids coding in Hong Kong. We are now one of the BIGGEST kids coding educational institutions in Hong Kong having professionally trained up over 50 kids coding teachers – all of them full time university students in Hong Kong. Being a non-profit organization, we aim to leverage resources in the academia and the society to promote kids coding. So far we have provided FREE kids coding courses for over 200 students straddling primary and secondary students. Some of the organizations we have been closely working with include:
