台北經濟文化辦事處新聞組自 2006 年首創「台灣月」活動，邀請「朱宗慶打擊樂團」、「漢唐樂府」、「野火樂集」等台灣著名表演團體來港演出，並舉辦「台灣式的言談」等不定期講座與台灣電影展。
本組亦舉辦研討會與記者會等活動、協助外國及香港新聞界赴台採訪及提供台灣紀錄片光碟與圖片專輯等服務。 此外，本組設有功能展演廳，可辦理演講、展覽、放映影片，場地借用。
