General information

Villa Koumos sits in beautiful, landscaped grounds above the village of Gavalochori. The rooms and terraces offer views of the sea and the spectacular, 2,000 metre high, White Mountains. The air conditioned, open plan living area has access to a large terrace, furnished with table, chairs and rattan furniture, perfect for relaxing or enjoying alfresco dining. The fully equipped kitchen has all the usual household appliances and includes a dishwasher. All tap water is UV treated and is fit to drink. The living room has comfortable seating, TV, DVD, sound system and satellite receiver. Wi-fi is included.

The three spacious bedrooms, one double with en-suite bathroom and two twins with a shared bathroom are situated on a lower level; all have air conditioning and patio areas with marvellous views. The attractive pool, where the views continue, is situated just below the bedroom level, and accessed by a few steps from the bedroom balconies.

The villa is just a 600 metre walk from a traditional bakery, two shops and 3 excellent tavernas in the centre of Gavalochori. It’s a beautiful rural village in the spectacular Apokoronos region of Western Crete. The area provides many choices of activities for families including walking, cycling, hiking, blue flag sandy beaches, water sports, and boat trips. The closest beach, in the village resort of Almeryda can be reached in just 6 minutes by car. It has a sandy bay with safe swimming and plenty of facilities including seaside tavernas, shops, cafes and water sports.
