General information
Simon Rogan is one of the country’s most innovative and exciting chefs. He and his partner, Penny Tapsell, opened L’Enclume, a restaurant with rooms, in the medieval village of Cartmel, Cumbria, in 2002.
The menus showcase local ingredients as Simon and his team make, the best use of the Cartmel countryside to create their signature dishes, including produce from their own natural farm (since 2009) that supplies produce to all of Simon’s restaurants.
L’Enclume’s senior team includes Head Chef Tom Barnes and Operations Manager Sam Ward.
Adjacent to L’Enclume is Aulis, for the culinary research and exclusive and intimate six-seat private dining space, that allows for direct, personal engagement with Simon Rogan's development chef team.
