This former landfill site between Ravensthorpe, Heckmondwike and Dewsbury Moor is being transformed into the largest new woodland created in West Yorkshire.
Dewsbury Country Park is located on the former Lower Spen Valley Landfill site between Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury Moor and Heckmondwike. With support from
the Woodland Trust the park is being transformed into a jubilee 'Diamond Wood', and become the largest new woodland in West Yorkshire.
